POSITION OVERVIEW

Qikiqtani Industries Limited (QIL) is a 100% Inuit-owned company of Qikiqtaaluk Corporation and provides Inuit owned industrial capacity to companies and developers in the Canadian Arctic with primary focus on the mining, oil, and gas sector.

This will be 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotational job at a leading mine site in Nunavut are we are hiring asap. Flights (up to $810), food, accommodation, wi-fi, laundry everything is paid for. If interested, please send your resume to gpatel@qil.ca.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This includes but is not limited to the following:

· Attend daily pre-shift safety toolbox meeting on time and in uniform.

· Complete and keep on their person a FLRA booklet during shift.

· Plan and direct food preparations and cooking activities for the day.

· Delegate work projects and cleaning schedules. Keep records of cleaning completed and if supervision is required make up the daily duty roster.

· Supervise the daily activities of cooks, baker, dishwashers, kitchen helpers etc.

· Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, presentation of food and cleanliness.

· Prepare items for lunch and dinner service, including, but not limited to:

Soups, salads, sauces, hot and cold vegetables, starches and proteins.

· Maintain cleanliness of work station, kitchen and dining room throughout shift.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 per hour
