Our Zeman robot is an automated welding robot featuring two coordinated units. The handling robot positions components onto the beam or tube, while the master robot performs the welding to secure each piece in place. As a Zeman Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring the robotic equipment to ensure accurate and consistent welds. You will work closely with the fabrication team to maintain high standards of quality and productivity.
- Set up and operate Zeman welding systems according to production specifications.
- Load and unload parts into machine fixtures.
- Monitor weld quality and make basic adjustments as needed.
- Perform basic maintenance on equipment.
- Inspect finished welds in accordance with our specifications using measuring tools, such as measure tape, framing square, etc.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Work with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or welding certification is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and production drawings.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift upwards of 50 lbs.
- Basic knowledge of MIG/TIG welding processes and welding symbols.
- Previous experience operating robotic welding equipment is preferred but not required.
Ability to work 10-12 hr shifts 5 days/week plus occasional Saturdays.
