This is a full-time, on-site position for a Wireline Engineer located in Farmington, NM. The Wireline Engineer will oversee the preparation and deployment of electric wireline tools and equipment in cased-hole oil and gas wells. Responsibilities include performing pre-job briefings, operating and maintaining wireline equipment, recording and interpreting data, monitoring safety protocols, and collaborating with team members to ensure efficient and precise operations. A commitment to safety, accuracy, and teamwork is critical for this role.
- Experience with cased-hole wireline services, including tool preparation, equipment operation, and maintenance
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude, with knowledge of hydraulic systems and tools
- Proficiency in data recording, interpretation, and report generation
- Ability to follow safety protocols and adhere to strict HSE regulations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with team members
- Flexibility to work in various field conditions and a commitment to operational excellence
- Valid Class A CDL (or ability to obtain upon employment) with a clean driving record is preferred
- High school diploma or GED required; relevant technical certifications or degrees are a plus
- Prior experience in the oil and gas industry, specifically with electric wireline, is advantageous
- Willingness to travel to remote locations and work extended shifts when necessary
