Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional ready to take on a pivotal role within a dynamic, supportive team? Fabian Oil is seeking a Wholesale Accountant to oversee key financial processes and ensure the accuracy of critical data across our wholesale operations. This position is ideal for someone who excels in organization, collaboration, and problem-solving within a fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for maintaining financial accuracy across vendor and customer accounts, assisting in regulatory compliance, and contributing to a strong internal control environment.
- Reconcile railyard inventory balances regularly.
- Monitor and validate market watch customers and fixed price contracts for accuracy.
- Resolve vendor pricing discrepancies through direct communication and coordination.
- Support the preparation and reconciliation of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual tax filings.
- Prepare and submit annual property tax declarations.
- Monitor and verify customer tax exemption statuses.
- Assist in preparing and filing the annual Tier II report.
- Post Zipline credits to wholesale customer accounts.
- Clear vendor drafts and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Post weekly wholesale activity from platforms such as Creative Energies (CE), Loadtrack, and APV.
- Assist with additional accounting or administrative duties as assigned.
- Promote a culture of safety by following all safety protocols and taking personal responsibility for a safe work environment.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in financial or general accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

- Great Plains
- ADD’s E3
- Creative Energies
- Avalara Tax
- APV
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial documents and spreadsheets accurately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
- Confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive financial data.
- Effective time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Collaborative team player with a problem-solving mindset.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and committed to continuous improvement.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime during peak periods or deadlines.
- Standard office setting with frequent computer use.
- Requires regular sitting, standing, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Periodic stair climbing, bending, or crouching may be necessary.
- Routine communication via phone, email, and in-person.
