Precision Utility LLC is looking for a team oriented minded and experienced Accounting professional (Accountant I) to provide accounting and bookkeeping services. We are a thriving Texas Based Water Utility Operations & Construction Company experiencing growth.
This position's primary responsibility is to manage, monitor and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities. Establish financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting financial information.
- Corporate and Governmental Accounting (MUD experience preferred)
- Process month and year end accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, budgeting, revenue and expenditures analysis, capital assets, reconciliations, fixed asset activity, debt activity, etc.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data, produce financial reports and/or statements
- Work closely with CPA to complete annual audits and as needed
- Provide recommendations on policy and practice within the accounting department
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
- Producing Invoices, review bills, collect receipts, obtain approvals, etc.
- Reconciliation as it relates to billing, vendors and statements
- Set up accounts with Vendors and monitor contracts
- Producing reports as needed
- Multiple Credit Card receipt reconciliation
- Process payroll with PayChex
- Communications:
- Effectively communicates with other employees, vendors, customers by use of emails, phone, and/or fax communication on a timely basis.
- Ability to communicate technical information to others internally and externally
Ensure that all required reporting is up to date and accurate. Will be required to prepare reports for accounting or HR as needed.
- Ability to organize and handle paperwork to meet internal and external requirements
- Create and maintain all employee files
- Keep track of Employee's PTO and file request
- Technical:
- Proficient knowledge of Accounting Principles
- Excellent Computer skills primarily with Quickbooks Online and Excel spreadsheets

- Municipal Utility District Experience
- Minimum 5+ years accounting experience- Strong Attention to Details and accuracy
- Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft office software and Dropbox
