Welder (COBOT)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with collaborative robots (cobots) and be proficient in multiple welding processes, including MIG, TIG, Flux Core, and Submerged Arc (Sub Arc). Knowledge of ASME codes and standards is required. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality fabrication, safety, and efficiency in our production environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform high-quality welding using MIG, TIG, Flux Core, and Sub Arc processes.

- Operate, program, and troubleshoot welding cobots to support automated welding tasks.

- Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, welding symbols, and ASME code requirements.

- Set up, adjust, and maintain welding equipment, fixtures, and tools.

- Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and compliance with ASME standards.

- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and resolve issues.

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following company and OSHA safety guidelines.

- Document work performed, including weld parameters, inspections, and production reporting.

Qualifications

- Proven experience with cobot welding systems (programming and operation).

- Proficient in MIG, TIG, Flux Core, and Sub Arc welding processes.

- Strong understanding of ASME codes, welding symbols, and fabrication standards.

- Ability to operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and common fabrication tools (preferred).

- Ability to pass weld tests as required.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

- Ability to stand, lift, bend, and work in various positions as needed.
