This role offers the opportunity to step into a senior technical design position within a nationally respected water consultancy supporting high-profile municipal and utility programs across the New York metropolitan region.
- Serve as a technical design lead on large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Work on major treatment plants, pumping facilities, conveyance systems, and regulatory upgrades
- Remain hands-on technically while partnering closely with experienced Project Managers
- Tackle complex challenges related to urban constraints, resilience, and regulatory compliance
- Operate in a flexible hybrid environment with long-term project stability
- Progress toward Senior Technical Specialist, Technical Manager, or Subject Matter Expert roles
- Leading and reviewing detailed engineering designs for water and wastewater facilities
- Performing advanced process, hydraulic, and infrastructure design analyses
- Supporting planning, permitting, and regulatory documentation for municipal and utility clients
- Providing technical oversight during construction and commissioning phases
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (civil, process, mechanical, electrical, structural)
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to internal technical standards and best practices
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (NY, NJ, or obtainable)
- 7–15+ years of experience in water/wastewater or water resources engineering- Strong technical background in treatment systems, conveyance infrastructure, and utility facilities
- Experience working within dense urban and highly regulated environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master’s preferred)
