ABOUT Hermosa

Hermosa, located approximately 75 miles south-east of Tucson, Arizona, is the only advanced mining project in the United States as of 2023 that could produce two federally designated critical minerals—manganese and zinc—as well as silver and lead. The project has the potential to help power the nation’s clean energy future, strengthen the domestic supply chain of critical minerals, grow the local economy, and improve lives in Santa Cruz County and the surrounding community for generations to come.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Technician, Water Treatment Plant, you will be responsible for operating the plant safely and effectively. This role is on a rotating schedule and is based at the Hermosa project site, near Patagonia, Arizona.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

- Follow all site Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental requirements and standards

- Carry out routine operation and housekeeping of plant and make minor repairs as trained where possible

- Ensure communication of necessary repairs to site-services maintenance department to minimize downtime

- Ensure accurate and timely reporting

- Demonstrate effective skills in troubleshooting, problem solving and team building

- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

- Complete special projects or other duties as assigned

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

- Must be able to read, write, and speak effectively in English

- ADEQ Certification Level 1 preferred, but not required

- General working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and piping systems

- Experience working in a mining or heavy construction or manufacturing

- Must be able to work 12 hours rotating shifts
