Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable 2nd shift Warehouse Associate to support shipping, receiving, and inventory operations. This role is responsible for verifying shipments, preparing outgoing orders, maintaining shipping supplies, and ensuring all outgoing shipments meet company specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
- Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify accuracy against bills of lading
- Affix shipping labels to packed cartons or stencil identifying shipping information on cartons
- Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or select preassembled containers for shipments
- Insert items into containers and prepare products for shipment
- Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
- Operate a tier lift truck or use a hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from the shipping and receiving platform to storage or work areas
- Maintain general organization and cleanliness within the warehouse
- Quality Focus: Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
- Looks for ways to improve and promote quality
- Applies feedback to improve performance
- Monitors own work to ensure quality standards are met
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1–3 months of related warehouse or shipping/receiving experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- 3PM - 11 PM, Minimum $17.85 plus 5% shift differential for 2nd shift
- Ability to read basic instructions and recognize differences between words and numbers
- Ability to write and communicate simple information clearly
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers
- Ability to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
- Ability to perform calculations involving money, weight, volume, and distance
- Basic experience with inventory software and order processing systems preferred
- Frequently required to stand and walk throughout the shift
- Occasional climbing or balancing may be required
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
- Must have close vision, distance vision, and color vision
- Work may occasionally involve exposure to outside weather conditions
- Noise level in the work environment is typically moderate
