Professional Meters, Inc. (PMI) is a nationwide meter installation company supporting utility infrastructure projects across the United States. We are currently seeking a Warehouse Associate to support operations in South Lake Tahoe, California.

We are looking for motivated, detail-oriented individuals who can work independently while maintaining accuracy and organization in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, tracking, organizing, and distributing meters, tools, and materials to installation teams. This role includes warehouse duties along with occasional operation of small delivery trucks (box trucks).

Primary Responsibilities

- Receive shipments from manufacturers and verify quantities

- Store materials in assigned warehouse locations

- Track inventory movement using handheld scanning devices

- Pull and stage meters and materials for daily installer assignments

- Scan meters in and out of inventory systems

- Process returned meters and maintain accurate records

- Assist Field Manager with inventory control

- Identify and report missing or damaged materials

- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization

- Load and unload installer vehicles as needed

- Operate forklifts safely (training provided if necessary)

- Operate box trucks for deliveries when required

- Assist with disposal and scrapping of old meters after hold periods

- Transport equipment or materials to job sites as assigned

Requirements

- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, warehouse experience

- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

- Forklift experience preferred (training available)

- Ability to stand/walk 8–10 hours per day

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

- Strong attention to detail and communication skills

- Ability to work independently and safely

- Must pass background check and pre-employment drug test

Compensation & Benefits

- $25–$30/hour depending on experience
