In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all facets of our company's manufacturing operations, including production, project management, estimating, installation, supply chain management, quality control, process improvement, and facility management. You will be an analytical thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of translating business goals into actionable operational plans and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
Responsibilities:
•Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive operational strategy that aligns seamlessly with the company's overarching strategic objectives. Provide visionary leadership and clear direction to the entire operations team, cultivating a high-performance culture characterized by collaboration and accountability.
•Production Management: Take ownership of all production processes, ensuring efficient and cost-effective manufacturing while consistently meeting and exceeding production targets and stringent quality standards. Implement and meticulously maintain effective production schedules and optimize resource allocation to maximize output and minimize waste.
•Supply Chain Management: Strategically manages the entire supply chain lifecycle, encompassing sourcing, procurement, meticulous inventory control, and seamless logistics. Your focus will be on ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of both raw materials and finished goods. Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers.
•Quality Assurance: Establish and champion robust quality control systems and processes to guarantee that our products consistently meet or surpass customer expectations. Drive continuous improvement in critical quality metrics and implement effective corrective actions to address any deviations.
•Process Improvement: Proactively identify and implement impactful process improvements and efficiencies across all operational domains. Leverage methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other relevant frameworks to drive a culture of continuous improvement and foster a spirit of innovation throughout the operations team.
•Financial Management: Develop and diligently manage the operations budget, ensuring optimal cost-effectiveness and maximizing the return on investment for all operational activities. Rigorously monitor and analyze key operational performance metrics, implementing data-driven strategies to enhance overall profitability.
•Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-caliber operations team, fostering a collaborative and engaging work environment that promotes teamwork, individual growth, and professional development.
•Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all operational activities are conducted with the utmost regard for safety and are in full compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations. Champion and promote a strong safety-first culture within the entire operations team.
•Technology and Innovation: Continuously evaluate and strategically implement new technologies and systems to significantly enhance operational efficiency, boost productivity, and elevate quality standards. Stay at the forefront of industry’s best practices and emerging technological advancements.
•Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively and build strong working relationships with other key departments, including Sales, Marketing, Research & Development, and Finance, to ensure seamless alignment and the achievement of overarching business objectives.
•Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement a robust system for regularly monitoring and reporting on critical operational performance. Analyze data meticulously to identify emerging trends and implement proactive measures to optimize performance.
•Facility Management: Oversee the comprehensive maintenance and upkeep of all manufacturing facilities and equipment, ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive working environment. Proactively plan for future capacity needs and facility expansions as required to support business growth.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field is strongly preferred.
•A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment is essential.
•Proven and demonstrable track record of successfully leading and significantly improving manufacturing operations, encompassing production, supply chain management, and quality control.
•Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, established quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001), and proven continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
•Excellent financial management acumen, including demonstrated expertise in budget development and effective cost control.
•Demonstrated ability to develop and successfully implement strategic operational plans that drive tangible results.
•Exceptional leadership, communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
•Hands-on experience with ERP systems and other relevant manufacturing software applications.
•Thorough knowledge of relevant safety regulations and established best practices within a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Relevant certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or supply chain management are highly desirable.
•Prior experience with the successful implementation of new technologies and automation solutions within a manufacturing setting.
