The Vice President of Business Intelligence and Analytics is responsible for building and leading DEC’s enterprise analytical data model, master data governance framework, and enterprise reporting platform. This role partners closely with business units to define key metrics, data requirements, and proof-of-concepts, translating those needs into structured, governed, and scalable analytics solutions using Snowflake, SQL, PostgreSQL, Power BI, and Grafana. This position also begins exploring ML/AI applications for future analytical use cases.
This leader will manage a technical business analyst and a Power BI developer, while collaborating cross-functionally to define and enforce data definitions, analytical standards, and governance best practices. The VP will also oversee master data governance efforts across key domains—such as wells, meters, and production assets—ensuring data consistency, stewardship, and integrity across systems and business processes.
Success in this role will depend heavily on the ability to lead through influence rather than positional authority. The VP must demonstrate exceptional leadership and collaboration skills to align cross-functional teams, unify data priorities, and champion standards and processes across the enterprise.
