We are an established structural engineering firm based in Miami that offers structural testing, stress analysis and other services seeking a VP of Engineering to join our Orlando/ or Tampa office and work on some of the most interesting projects in Florida.
The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for driving growth, securing projects, and building strong industry relationships within engineering industry for the Orlando and Tampa area. He/she will develop and implement strategic plans, conduct market research, and identify new business opportunities. This role involves client services/management, management of key stakeholder relationships, and overseeing proposals, bids, and contract negotiations. They will collaborate with internal teams to align business development efforts and monitor client satisfaction and financial performance.
Responsibilities
•Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the company's goals.
•Strategically evaluate, assess, and identify the need for internal growth and support in Business Development when appropriate.
•Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitor activities.
•Analyze potential clients and projects to determine feasibility and profitability.
•Identify and engage potential clients, including government agencies, developers, contractors, and private sector firms.
•Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers and industry leaders.
•Contribute to branding, advertising, and digital marketing efforts by representing the company at networking events, industry conferences, and professional associations.
•Oversee the preparation of proposals, bids, and tender submissions for infrastructure, transportation, water resources, and other civil engineering projects.
•Conduct periodic meetings with regional leadership to discuss business development strategy and targets
•Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proposals meet client specifications and industry standards.
•Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements with clients and partners.
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related business degree
•Experienced in business development
•Experience in a similar role related to the AEC industry,

Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
