Utility Locator Technician

Utility Line Locator – Lewis County, WA Precision Locating Inc.

Precision Locating Inc. provides underground utility locating services across Washington and Oregon. We work with contractors and municipalities to support safe excavation and prevent utility damage.

We are seeking an experienced Utility Locator to cover Lewis County, WA. This position requires independent field work, accurate locating, and clear documentation. You will be responsible for your assigned area and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

- Locate and mark underground utilities accurately

- Read and interpret maps and utility records

- Document locates with photos and clear notes

- Communicate with contractors and property owners

- Follow safety procedures and Washington dig law

Requirements

- Prior utility locating experience required

- Able to work independently outdoors

- Strong map-reading and documentation skills

- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

- Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety focused
