Specific Accountabilities

•

Provides legal, business, and strategic advice to LOBs throughout the corporation and to senior executives

•

Drafts and negotiates sophisticated and complex legal and business documents for use within the company and outside (e.g. contracts, filings with governmental and regulatory authorities, court filings)

•

Attends to more significant matters before legal bodies, including courts and tribunals

•

Participates in the functions and strategic plans of LOBs, and provides training to the LOBs to assist them in accomplishing corporate goals

•

Supports the Assistant General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer

•

Manages work performed by external counsel and interfaces between external counsel and Hydro One LOBs

•

Knowledge in and experience with various construction execution models is considered an asset

•

Technology law and intellectual property law experience would be considered an asset

•

Assists other members of Law Division
