As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a dedicated and forward-thinking Training Coordinator to lead employee development initiatives and support our commitment to operational excellence and workplace safety.
This role is primarily based in Calgary, with regular training support provided to our Beiseker operations to ensure consistency and alignment across both locations.
The Training Coordinator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training programs that empower employees with the skills and knowledge to succeed. From onboarding to equipment operation and compliance, this role ensures our workforce is well-prepared and continuously improving. The Coordinator will also collaborate with the Safety and Compliance teams to support safety-related training, documentation, and audit readiness.
- Assess training needs across departments and develop annual training plans
- Design and deliver onboarding programs for new hires in Calgary and Beiseker
- Facilitate training sessions on equipment use, operational procedures, and compliance topics
- Maintain accurate records of employee training, certifications, and renewals
- Collaborate with supervisors and department leads to align training with operational goals
- Evaluate training effectiveness and refine delivery methods
- Manage online training platforms and learning management systems (LMS)
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development
- Schedule and support training activities for different departments such as facilitating supplier-specific , Information Technology , and safety-related training sessions
- Assist with documentation and tracking of training and compliance records
- Collaborate with the Safety team to integrate safety content into operational training
- Participate in safety meetings and contribute to safety awareness initiatives
- Support internal audits across departments by assisting with documentation, compliance tracking, and audit preparation
- Assist with completing external supplier compliance requests and questionnaires
- Maintain and update supplier portals with accurate and timely documentation
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather required compliance information
- Ensure alignment with industry standards and customer-specific requirements
- Support the preparation and submission of documentation for certifications and audits
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing leadership role
- Proven experience coordinating training programs in a manufacturing environment
- Post-secondary education in training, auditing, or a related technical discipline
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and training program development
- Proficiency with online training platforms and LMS tools
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational abilities
- Certifications such as Manufacturing Safety Officer (MSO) or ISO Internal Auditor are strong assets
