About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Coordinator, Training, the Coordinator, Training is responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering training programs, while leading a team of dedicated trainers supporting Mine Operations. This position follows a 4x4 schedule rotation of day and night shifts.

- Represent the company and the Training Department positively, upholding EVR’s values
- Lead, engage, and coordinate your team of hourly trainers to execute training while aligning with the Mine Operations departments training priorities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive Heavy Equipment Operation training programs, including hands-on, classroom, computer-based, and field training tailored to site requirements
- Conduct Equipment Operator performance reviews to enhance skills and ensure safe, productive performance
- Develop and modify Standard Practices and Procedures in accordance with the site’s standards and procedures
- Collaborate with supervisors and departments to assess training needs, prioritize requirements, and develop effective solutions
- Coordinate training schedules with supervisors and document activities
- Assist with the development of training and documentation pertinent to the site’s training requirements
- Analyze training data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety and operational efficiency
- Complete ongoing training to maintain and update knowledge pertaining to regulations
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with operations and maintenance teams to address departmental needs effectively
- Attend and deliver presentations at monthly safety meetings
- A minimum of three years’ experience in an industrial environment with exposure to heavy equipment
- Minimum three years of experience in training or mentoring others
- A valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Strong digital literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite® (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Advanced communication and interpersonal abilities to engage and inspire diverse teams
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to adapt and prioritize in a fast-paced setting
- Ongoing commitment to training and staying current with regulations and standards
- Experience in open-pit mining or a similar environment is an asset
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
