At SME, we take pride in our exceptional teams, comprised of fully licensed and certified service technicians, licensed electricians, expert compliance testers, and an amazing group of administrative and field support staff. We are excited to open the Training Coordinator position, which reports to the Training Manager and works a Monday through Friday shift from our Lakewood, WA location. As a key member of the Training Department, you will ensure our teams are well-trained, tested, and certified, directly impacting the quality of our service to customers.
- Responsible for the setup of all employees’ online and in-person trainings, including those related to new hire orientation, HR, health & safety, manufacturers, equipment, state requirements, and advanced technical knowledge.
- Log information for each training in our online management system to track assigned, due, and past due items.
- Enter data into online vendor sites to set up trainings, communicate login and logistical details to employees, and follow through via email or within systems to completion.
- Collaborate with all departments (Dispatch, HR, Service, Compliance, Health & Safety, etc.) to ensure their team members are fully set up for upcoming trainings.
- Manage payments for each training, test, or certification provided to employees.
- Troubleshoot employee issues related to training websites, password resets, and other system access problems.
- Work with the Training Manager to develop new trainings, tests, and certifications within our online management system.*’Training’ is used to mean training, tests, and certifications. - High School Diploma is required.
- 1-5 years of relevant experience in areas such as office management, customer service, technical support, operations, training, high volume data entry, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, etc.
- Ability to manage multiple online systems and multitask effectively.
- Effective communication skills (verbal, written) - ability to clearly communicate your line of thought and guide others through step-by-step processes.
- Ability to organize a high volume of data, while maintaining high productivity and exceptional accuracy.
- Mid to High typing WPM is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook (intermediate) and Excel (basic).
- The ideal candidate takes instruction well, learns from mistakes, is self-motivated, takes accountability for their work, and is a team player above all else. Respectful communication and professionalism are requirements of this role.
- This position is expected to pay between $23-$25 per hour.
