Toshiba / Mill Operator

The Toshiba / Mill Operator is responsible for producing machined parts by setting up and operating a Toshiba / Horizontal Boring Mill; maintaining quality and safety standards; maintaining equipment and supplies.

Essential Job Functions and Duties:

- Plans machining by reviewing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, customer specifications, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters.

- Operates mills by calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.

- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.

- Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving and cutting; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; sharpening and replacing worn tools.

- Adheres to quality assurance procedures and processes.

- Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

- Documents actions by completing production.

- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Education/Experience Required:

- High School Diploma or GED required.

- 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
