We are seeking an organized and dependable Tool Crib Manager to oversee tool and equipment inventory, issue tools to production personnel, manage stock replenishment, and maintain accurate records in our inventory system. The ideal candidate has prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, a solid understanding of hand tools, precision instruments, and CNC tooling, and the ability to communicate effectively across departments. Location: 3411 Woodhead Dr, Northbrook, IL 60062
- Issue and receive tools, equipment, and supplies to production and maintenance personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of tool check-in/check-out and update inventory management systems.
- Inspect tools and equipment for wear, damage, or calibration needs; arrange for repair, replacement, or reconditioning.
- Store tools in designated locations, ensuring proper labeling and organization for easy access.
- Monitor tool inventory and notify supervisor of shortages or reorder needs.
- Assist in conducting periodic inventory counts and audits of tools and supplies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized tool crib environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by suggesting ways to enhance tool crib efficiency and cost control.
- 1-3 years of Tool Crib operations, inventory control, or manufacturing support experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, machine tools, and industrial equipment.
- Proficient in using Solar System Tool Management System, Tools Balancers and Redo Matic Equipment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service to production staff.
- Previous inspection experience in aerospace, aviation, automotive, or composites manufacturing.
- Familiarity with advanced materials such as composites and thermosets.

This position is primarily performed in a tool crib, stockroom, or warehouse environment with regular interaction on the production floor. May involve exposure to manufacturing noise, dust, or other manufacturing debris.
Climate-controlled manufacturing facility with state-of-the-art CNC equipment. The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50lbs, and working in an environment with noise and exposure to composite dust (proper PPE provided). Some flexibility for shift coverage may be required.
