TOOL CRIB ATTENDANT

The Toll Crib Attendant is responsible for managing Côté Gold’s tool inventory. They distribute, collect, and maintain tools, as well as keep detailed records the full functioning of Côté Gold’s maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

Area 1:

Managing tool inventory.

- Distribute tools to employees and contractors.

- Inspect tools for damage or wear and tear.

- Receive and rotate tool inventory.

- Maintain inventory records.

- Order new tools as needed.

- Maintain tool crib cleanliness and organization.

- Maintain tools in good working condition.

- Ensure hazardous materials, chemicals and gases are stored safely according to WHMIS.

- Prepare inventory counts as required.

Area 2

Operational excellence.

- Commit to continuous learning and improvement.

- Continually seek to improve your skill set.

- Watch for inefficiencies or problems.

- Ensure problems and inefficiencies are shared with others.

- Work collaboratively to troubleshoot and resolve problems.

- Consider risk along the five dimensions (throughput, time, quality, sustainability and cost).

Area 3

Work collaboratively with others to deliver operational reliability.

- Coordinate with other team members to meet shift deliverables.

- Mentor and train new team members.

- Participate in and lend your expertise to the team.

- Communicate clearly and effectively using the tools provided.

- Ensure equipment logs and shift logs are accurate and complete.

- Ensure any deficiencies are communicated to the appropriate team members for follow up.

- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on our commitment to our team, our communities, the environment, and our shareholders.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Requirements And Nice To Haves

minimum qualifications, formal education, certifications or equivalents

- Grade 12 or equivalent.

Work experience - Nature & Length

- Prior tool management is considered an asset.

Additional Qualifications - Competency Requirements

- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.

- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

- Knowledge of different environments and health and safety protocols are erquired.

- Sense of urgency and focus.

- Ability to lift heavy objects.
