Job Title: Territory Sales Manager
Department: Sales FLSA Job Status: Exempt
Location: Total Valve Systems - Salt Lake City/Evanston
POSITION SUMMARY: Professional with significant industry experience, proven track record in technical sales interacting with engineers and technical professionals. Must have a high standard of integrity. To be successful in this position strong leadership, communication both written and verbal as well as excellent computer skills will be a must. This is a hands-on position which requires a high comfort level in small to medium size business, working in the trenches with the customers and team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
•Collaborate with management team in establishing realistic sales goals
•Perform sales activities on major accounts and negotiate sales price and discounts in consultation with executive management and sales staff
•Motive, counsel, discipline, develop skills & product knowledge of sales team, plan, monitor, appraise job performance and results
•Travel to facilities, attend sales meetings/training schools as required
•Conduct regular lunch and learns
•Ensure guidelines are met, policies are followed, expenses controlled
•Monitor performance by establishing a system of reporting, communicating, enforcing accountability, meeting weekly with sales team
•Personally observe performance of sales team in the field on a regular basis, including those at remote locations
•Organize and schedule visits and sales calls with facility representatives
•Ensure customer satisfaction of order/contract compliance
•Ensure process and procedures are followed for the review and renewal of customer contracts and special pricing agreements in advance of expiration dates
•Keep up to date with products and competitors
•Educate sales team by establishing programs/seminars in the areas of new account sales growth, sales of emerging products and multiproduct sales, profitability, improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use, and level of sales support
•Collaborate with executive management to establish and control budgets for sales promotion and trade show expenses
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Maintains safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
•Maintains equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; initiating repair work orders.
•Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
•Documents actions by completing required paper and/or electronic logs.
•Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
•Participate in required meetings and training.

•Must be able to work, travel and lodge in Non-Smoking Environments
•Must have a clean DMV & valid driver’s license
•Must reside within 30 miles of job location (no exceptions)
Education and Experience:
•7+ years industry experience preferred
Language Skills:
•Ability to read and interpret common scientific and technical journals and blueprints.
•Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills:
•Ability to apply concepts such as basic fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Computer & Software Skills:
•Must be proficient in Microsoft word, excel, power point and any technical software directly applicable to the position
Reasoning Ability:
•Above-Average Mechanical Reasoning Ability

•Moderate (> 25%) travel required typically to tradeshows/conferences, training & client visits

Pay: $71,071.00 - $75,000.00 per year
