Temporary Clerical (YES FAIR)

Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative (SSVEC) is a cooperative delivering safe and reliable electric service, through people who provide exceptional support to our member-owners and the communities we serve. SSVEC is a not for profit, member‐owned distribution cooperative providing electricity to more than 60,000 services over some 4,100 miles of energized line. Located in southeastern Arizona. SSVEC is dedicated to community growth, quality of life and a positive vision for the future.

Hundreds of students in Southeastern Arizona look forward to the Youth Engineering and Science (YES) Fair each year. Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative is seeking enthusiastic and qualified applicants for a Temporary Clerical Position to support the administration of the YES Fair. This role will be based in our Sierra Vista Business Office and will involve assisting staff, students, and teachers.

This is a part-time, temporary position with hours varying week to week. The timeframe we are looking to fill this position is February 9, 2026, through approximately March 5, 2026. The hours will generally be 8 AM to 5 PM except for some 12-to-14-hour workdays around the time of the YES Fair, which will be held the week of February 23rd. The successful candidate must be a motivated self-starter proficient in Microsoft Office.

The essential functions listed below are general examples and not a description of comprehensive duties.

- Assist in the administration of the YES Fair.

- Conduct clerical data entry, document creation, and editing.

- Handle miscellaneous tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

- Two years related general office experience.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/Access.

- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

- Must be able to work with children.

Applicants must have a valid Arizona driver's license and reliable transportation.

All offers of employment are contingent upon passing drug screen, criminal and driving background checks, and employment reference checks.

SSVEC is offering $15.15 per hour.
