Clerical Technician

Primary Function

Under general supervision, performs technical clerical functions requiring a high degree of skill and special knowledge related to a particular operation. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school equivalency with supplemental college courses in business, computer, or bookkeeping, and three years of increasingly responsible and complex clerical related experience.

Operates high-speed mail inserters, sorters, addressing equipment, and postage meters to process large volumes of mail. Folds, stuffs, seals, and stamps outgoing mail.

Licensing & Certification Requirements

Veteran's Preference (External Applicants Only): Submit DD form 214 or other evidence of veterans' status by the job posting deadline.

Other Requirements/Testing

Keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel tests will be administered as part of the selection process.

A negative drug test is required as a condition of employment.
