The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Telecom Expense Management (TEM) professional to support the review, validation, and optimization of enterprise telecom spend. This role focuses on billing accuracy, policy compliance, inventory management, and cost optimization across wireless, wireline, and data services.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable working with recurring billing cycles, and experienced in analyzing carrier invoices in a large corporate environment.

- Review and validate telecom carrier invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with contracts and internal policies

- Identify billing discrepancies, overcharges, unused services, and cost-saving opportunities

- Manage telecom inventories, including wireless devices, circuits, users, and service locations

- Submit and track billing disputes with carriers and follow through to resolution

- Maintain accurate records in TEM systems and associated documentation

- Support cost allocation, and financial reporting processes

- Respond to internal inquiries related to telecom services and expenses

- Produce recurring and ad hoc reports on spend, usage, trends, and savings

- Work cross-functionally with IT, Finance, Procurement, and external carriers

Day to Day Activities:

- Review monthly carrier invoices and reconcile charges

- Investigate variances and billing anomalies

- Update telecom inventory records

- Communicate with carriers regarding billing disputes

- Prepare budget and forecasting reports

- Support internal stakeholders with telecom expense related questions

Requirements:

- Prior experience in telecom expense management, telecom billing, or related financial analysis

- Experience with TEM platforms such as Calero, Tangoe, Sakon, Cass, or similar

- Understanding of telecom services (wireless, voice, vsat, data circuits, WAN)

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in repetitive billing review tasks

- Must be able to manage multiple budgets and forecasts

- Ability to manage deadlines aligned to monthly billing cycles

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills:

- Experience supporting large enterprise or multi-site environments

- Background in IT, Telecom, Finance, or Accounting

- Familiarity with contract compliance or sourcing processes

- Experience with reporting automation or data cleanup
