Primary Purpose JOB DESCRIPTION
Collaborate with corporate accounting, planning and analysis, and project managers to facilitate the timely closeout of projects and accurate transfer of Construction in Progress to various fixed asset accounts. Prepare subledger entries to establish assets and depreciation in the fixed assets module, including driving appropriate depreciation calculations.
Responsibilities Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Month-End Close & Accounting
- Oversee asset additions, capitalization, transfers, retirements/disposals, and impairments in accordance with company policy and U.S. GAAP & FERC requirements
- Create, maintain and improve monthly accounting work papers in support of month-end and quarter-end activities
- Reconcile and review various general ledger and fixed asset accounts
- Ensure proper classification of assets for appropriate useful lives and depreciation methods
- Maintain and update capitalization and fixed asset policies
- Responsible for preparation and/or review of audit schedules as well as other analyses for the year-end audit, including coordination with external and internal auditors
- Review project AFEs and assess for appropriate accounting and project set up
- Review and provide guidance to project teams related to the capitalization of projects and AFEs
- Serves as a subject matter expert and a point of contact for the Oracle Fusion Fixed Asset Module, Oracle Fusion Project Module, Project set up, Project closure, and fixed asset policies and procedures
- Setup, review, and adjust capitalized interest and capital overhead rates applied to projects
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure project set up and close out accuracy, collaborating to ensure accurate accounting and date placed in service
- Responsible for the coaching and performance management of any direct reports.
- Perform generally varied and complex accounting-oriented duties in support of fixed assets requirements with minimal direction
- Develops and maintains strong and positive relationships and open communication with team members and internal/external stakeholders.
- Deals with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism.
- Provides support for inquiries and special requests from management, auditors and others.
- Ensures compliance with internal control environment.
- Speaks clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and active listening.
- Maintains a regular, dependable attendance and a consistently high level of performance.
- Will work non-traditional hours as needed.
- Maintains a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of previous accounting experience; may be supplemented with experience with oil and gas industry construction and engineering projects.
- Understanding the accounting and reporting of transactions involving natural gas processing, transportation and storage.
- Must have a fundamental understanding of GAAP.
- General understanding and demonstrated ability with computerized accounting systems, operations analysis.
- Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, verbal and written.
- Capable of working independently and with limited supervision.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Must be very detailed oriented, self-motivated, a team player and able to work on/handle multiple projects at the same time.
- Must be able to perform all essential and marginal functions of the job.
- Must be able to work with a team, take direction from management, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
- Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
- Ability to organize and prioritize daily work.
- Job level commensurate with experience and skill sets; position will be filled depending on qualifications, experience and skill sets of the successful candidate.

Preferred Education, Experience, Certifications, Competencies, Skills, & Abilities
Above the minimum requirements, not required but advantageous in this position:- Prior experience with financial reporting and preparation of financial statements.
- Prior use and experience with Oracle Financial Cloud or other cloud-based ERP preferred.
- Knowledge of FERC Regulations
- The annual salary range for this position will be $105,400-$158,200/yr.
