SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:
Denison is recruiting for several summer internship opportunities for university students based in Saskatoon. The
work terms run from May to August, and all internships are paid positions. Opportunities are available in the
following areas of study:
- Metallurgy
- Hydrogeology
- Environmental Sciences
- Engineering
Students who are hired to work in the Saskatoon office follow regular Monday to Friday office hours. Students who
work in field locations work a fourteen day in / fourteen day out rotation. Certain roles will offer the opportunity of a
mixed office / field location experience.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a motivated university student currently enrolled in a Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental
Science, or related program to join our team. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work alongside
experienced professionals and gain practical experience in hydrogeological data collection, analysis, and reporting
to support our exploration and development activities. The Hydrogeological Student will report to the Principal
Hydrogeologist and will work primarily in office with occasional travel to the Company’s field location(s).
Our ideal candidate:
- Currently enrolled in a Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science, or related university program.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with hydrogeological models and system software.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Safety-conscious with a strong attention to detail.
- Assist in water flow model development, testing and analysis.
- Support hydrogeological investigations, including aquifer testing and permeability assessments.
- Compile, analyze, and interpret hydrogeological data to support site assessments.
- Contribute to technical reports and presentations.
- Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and environmental professionals on water flow models.
- Follow safety protocols and best practices for fieldwork and data handling.
