Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Store In-Charge to oversee daily store operations in a retail environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining merchandising standards, and driving sales. This role requires strong leadership skills, retail knowledge, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently to ensure the smooth functioning of the store.
- Supervise and coordinate daily store activities, including stocking, merchandising, and cashiering
- Oversee inventory management and ensure proper stock levels are maintained
- Lead and motivate staff to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service
- Conduct product demos to promote merchandise and increase sales opportunities
- Manage POS transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash handling and sales processing
- Implement upselling strategies to maximize revenue
- Ensure adherence to store policies, safety procedures, and cleanliness standards
- Assist with merchandising displays and ensure products are well-presented
- Provide training and guidance to new team members on customer service, POS operation, and sales techniques
- Handle customer inquiries professionally via phone or in-person, maintaining excellent phone etiquette
- Perform basic retail math for transactions, inventory counts, and sales reporting
- Support overall store operations as needed to meet business goals
- Proven supervising experience in a retail or grocery store setting
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Demonstrated ability in upselling, merchandising, stock management, and retail sales techniques
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail in stock replenishment and product displays
- Basic math skills necessary for retail math calculations and transaction accuracy
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette
