Steel Welder / Fabricator

Tygart Steel is a major supplier of steel plate products located in McKeesport, PA. We manufacture both prime and non-prime steel components including counterweights, fabricated weldments, and ballast weights.

We are seeking a Welder to conduct mostly Metal Inert Gas welding. The applicant must be able to read blueprints. This is a full-time position that will work on our 2nd shift. (3:30pm - 12am)

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

- Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding including designs, uses, maintenance and repair.

- Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production.

- Must be able to read blueprints.

- Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.

- Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.

- Jib crane work preferred

Pay will be based on experience. Opportunities for pay increases after 90 days, semi-annually and annually.
