Metal Fabricator/Welder

Job Summary

Hiring Process:

- Phone interview. (Can be scheduled by calling 979-205-5345.)

- In-person work-day. (If the group interview goes well, the potential new hire may be asked to work the following day for cash pay. During this shift, the potential new hire will be evaluated by the Blackwater team to determine if the person will be a good fit. The employee may be asked to the following, but not limited to: sand-blasting, checking inventory, welding, fabricating, cleaning the shop, moving parts with the forklift, preparing parts, grinding parts, labeling parts, operating the press brake, loading CNC laser machine, unloading parts off of the laser machine, etc.

- After the full-day of work, Blackwater team will inform the potential new hire if they will be a good fit for Blackwater or not.

Job Description / Requirements

- Must be 21+ with a Valid Texas Drivers License

- Work schedule is 10-hour shifts, Monday-Thursday. 7AM-5:30PM. Lunch 12 pm to 12:30 pm.

- Ability to work in a shop setting.

- Clean driving record is a plus.

- Must be on time.

- Must know how to read a tape measure and use common fabrication tools.

- Welding or shop experience is a requirement.

- Experience in fitting and welding aluminum is a plus.

- Pay is based on experience.

- At times, you may be required to do other tasks that are not related to fabrication, such as but not limited to: sand-blasting, checking inventory, moving parts with the forklift, preparing parts, grinding parts, labeling parts, operating the press brake, loading CNC laser machine, unloading parts off of the laser machine, etc.

- Must keep their work area clean, and free of debris.

- Must follow PPE standards.

- Closed toe leather boots are required. Blackwater does not offer allowance for boots.

- Company shirts will be issued.

- Company hat will be issued.

- No benefits, such as medical or 401K are offered at this time.

- Paid weekly.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Shift:

- 10 hour-shift, 7 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday – Thursday

- 40 hours per week

- Lunch, 12 PM to 12:30 PM

Experience:

- Welding: 2 years (Preferred)

- Sandblasting: 2 years (Preferred)

- Painting: 2 years (Preferred)
