STAFF ACCOUNTANT - ENTRY LEVEL

Please Note; As per current corporate policy, you will be required to be IN the office at 241 Ralph McGill Blvd, Atlanta, GA (GA Power HQ) a minimum of four (4) days per week and/or as additionally required.

Description

The Entry Level Accountant position will be responsible for supporting the accounting and reporting activities of Georgia Power. The position will work on a team primarily responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of documents to support internal and external reporting objectives, including SEC Forms 10-Q and 10-K and FERC Forms 1 and 3-Q, other comprehensive income, hedges and derivatives, disclosure controls procedures, debt accounting, subsidiary accounting, and monthly closing of the Company’s financial records.

This position will work closely with other support groups within Georgia Power and the Southern Company system, as well as with internal and external auditors.
