Spartan Capital Group is actively recruiting for a Staff Accountant opportunity with a well-established manufacturing company based in Northeast Ohio.

About the Role

This hands-on Staff Accountant role supports daily financial operations, reporting directly to the Controller and working as part of a collaborative team. The organization is seeking someone eager to take ownership of tasks, ask questions, and grow into broader responsibilities over time. The team is friendly, non-hierarchical, and values initiative.

What You’ll Do

•

Prepare journal entries and assist in month-end close activities

•

Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain accurate financial records

•

Manage AP/AR aging reports and assist with vendor and customer reconciliation

•

Contribute to inventory tracking and cost accounting processes

•

Support reporting, budgeting, and internal control efforts

•

Assist with audits and implement financial procedures

What We’re Looking For

•

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (internship experience accepted)

•

1–3 years of general accounting experience (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply)

•

Strong Excel skills and a working knowledge of general accounting principles

•

A self-starter with a positive attitude, high integrity, and desire to grow

•

Someone who works well on a small team and communicates clearly
