Staff Accountant

Precision Electric Group is a large electrical contracting company located in Washington and California. This position will be located in Redmond WA.

This is where you come in. Precision Electric Group has an immediate opportunity for a top-notch Staff Accountant that is a team player and has a good understanding of electrical or construction accounting.

The Staff Accountant is responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger. This position will report to the CFO and Controller and will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial records.

Primary Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.

Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving reports.

Prepare and process vendor payments.

Maintain vendor files and resolve invoice discrepancies.

Enter credit card receipts and manage coding.

Manage and collect vendor lien releases.

Accounts Receivable:

Prepare and send customer invoices.

Process customer payments and apply payments to invoices.

Maintain customer records and resolve billing issues.

Payroll:

Process weekly payroll, including calculating taxes and deductions.

Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.

Prepare and file payroll tax returns.

Other Duties:

Assist with audits and tax filings.

Ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

5+ years of experience in construction accounting

Strong understanding of GAAP

Proficiency in accounting software (Preferably Sage 100 Contractor)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Attention to detail and accuracy

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 depending on experience.
