We are seeking an experienced Senior Landman with a strong background in oil and gas leasing, title research, and due diligence to join our team. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional who is comfortable operating with autonomy, making strategic decisions in the field, and contributing to both project success and company growth.
As a Senior Landman at RedTail Resources, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, build and maintain client relationships, and help establish best practices as we expand across multiple energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage oil and gas leasing projects from initial outreach through execution
Conduct title research, ownership verification, and due diligence for energy projects
Negotiate leases, easements, and right-of-way agreements with landowners
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring strong communication and relationship management
Make field-level and project-level decisions to keep projects on schedule and within scope
Collaborate with internal teams (survey, GIS, project management) to ensure efficient project delivery
Identify and resolve title issues, curative needs, and other land-related risks
Contribute to the development of internal processes and best practices as the company grows
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Landman, with a focus on oil & gas leasing and due diligence
Strong understanding of title, mineral ownership, and curative processes
Proven experience negotiating leases, ROW agreements, and related contracts
Ability to work independently and make sound, timely decisions in dynamic environments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience managing client relationships and representing a company professionally
Willingness to travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working across multiple energy sectors (e.g., renewables, utilities, pipelines)
Familiarity with GIS platforms and digital land systems
CPL (Certified Professional Landman) or working toward certification
