Sr. CNC Maintenance Techician

Job description:

Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machinery to ensure efficient and reliable production processes. In this senior role we are looking for a candidate with broader experience, can work with Engineering as we work on machine automation, innovative coolant, vacuum and other system's to more efficiently run our expanding machine center. This very well might involve building changes that need to be made and a bonus if the applicant also has some of those experiences.

We have Fanuc based controller machines, with a majority being Okuma Mills/Turning and Fanuc Robodrills. We also have Haus milling machines, Tsugami's, Onsrud, Northwood and Tongtai routers.

Qualifications

- Troubleshoots, identifies machine malfunctions and isolates the failure mechanism.

- Ability to help train the less senior guys on CNC maintenance

- Repairs the failure mechanism in the most cost-effective manner.

- Performs preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules.

- Performs calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment at specified intervals and schedules. Work with Engineering on new tools, equipment that might help us achieve better operating efficiency, or quality requirements.

- Assists process technicians and engineers with the installation and removal of process equipment. Make alternative recommendations based on experience.

- Records times and problems in equipment logs and in our maintenance tool, called MaintainX

- Disassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects.

- Aligns, repairs, replaces, and balances component parts and circuitry.

- Assists engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair and evaluation plans. Takes initiative to be innovative in working through challenges with new plans.

- Maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment.

- We would expect the senior technician to perform both software and hardware maintenance.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

- 10 - 15 years related experience on CNC Machine Maintenance

- 5-7 years' experience minimum using Okuma Mills/Turning and Fanuc Robodrills. We also have Haus milling machines, Tsugami's, Onsrud, Northwood and Tongtai routers.

- High School diploma, military technical training, or equivalent vocational training.

- CNC Repair experience, working with CNC Machine Support Services to order parts, and work with their support teams.
