The Solar Installation Crew Lead reports to the Operations Manager, manages a crew of 3 to 5 solar installers and is responsible for the successful implementation of all aspects of residential and commercial PV solar installations in accordance with NEC, NABCEP and Solar Power Pros standards while enforcing the company’s safety procedures. The Solar Installation Crew Lead will review and implement designs. He/she will take instruction from the Operations Manager and communicate as needed with the Project Manager. The Solar Installation Crew Lead will communicate with customers in a professional manner and maintain excellent customer service.
- Must have a Colorado RW Electrical License, or a minimum of two-thousand hours as an electrical apprentice signed by a Colorado Master Electrician and qualified to take the Colorado RW Electrical Examination.
- Minimum of 2 years of residential or commercial rooftop solar installation experience
- Proficient at installing AC & DC electrical equipment, conduit, conductors and performing standard PV system interconnections
- Ability to understand and implement solar electrical and structural designs
- Proven ability to test, troubleshoot and commission residential and commercial PV systems
- Ensure proper capture of job photo and safety documentation
- Experience leading, supervising, developing and maintaining a proficient, positive team
- Effectively delegate job tasks and prioritize work across the installation team to meet productivity objectives
- Proficient at installing PV systems on all types of roofs (asphalt shingle, tile, metal, TPO, EPDM, etc)
- Proficient with rooftop DC wiring of optimizer, string and micro-inverter installations
- Knowledgeable with NEC codes relating to PV installations
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds- Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops and able to work on your feet for long periods of time

- Valid state driver’s license with clean DMV driving record (example, no DUI in the last 5 years)
