Solar Electrician Technician

Responsibilities

- Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including wiring, fixture installation, and component placement according to blueprints and schematics

- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure precise system setup

- Conduct electrical connections using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for high voltage and low voltage systems

- Perform system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs to optimize performance and safety

- Assist with roofing work as needed for rooftop solar installations, ensuring safety protocols are followed

- Operate construction site equipment such as forklifts safely when required for material handling

- Collaborate with team members on construction projects involving plumbing, fixture installation, and other related tasks when necessary

- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and system configurations

Requirements

- Proven experience as a commercial electrician or in electrical work within construction sites; solar experience preferred but not required

- Strong knowledge of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems

- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately

- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment

- Familiarity with NEC standards and safety regulations for electrical installations

- Experience working on roofing projects or in roofing environments is a plus

- Construction site experience demonstrating ability to work efficiently in dynamic environments

- Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one upon hire

- Basic plumbing knowledge beneficial for system connections involving water or drainage components

- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety consciousness

- Ability to work at heights on rooftops or elevated structures safely

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
