Skilled Pipe Laborer for Road Construction Crew

American Asphalt Paving Co., a local road and site construction company located in Shavertown, PA, is seeking a SKILLED PIPE LABORER for the Road Construction Prep Crew for the 2025 construction season.

Responsibilities:

- The pipe laborer will be responsible for laying pipes, connecting them with fittings, and securing them to structures using clamps, brackets, or hangers.

- Digging trenches for pipes, ensuring proper depth and slope, and backfilling after installation.

- Measuring, cutting, and threading pipes to the required specifications using hand and power tools.

- Interpreting blueprints and other technical documents to ensure proper installation.

Position Preferences:

- Prefer candidates with experience in the road construction and site construction fields.

- PennDOT experience is a plus.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

- Employees must be willing and available to work overtime, including weekends and nights when necessary.

- Performs all work in a safe manner according to OSHA and American Asphalt Safety Policies.

- Prefer candidates who have a CDL Class-A Driver's License (with manual transmission experience) who can transport equipment to/from job sites, or a CDL Class-B Driver's License who can operate a water truck or a fuel truck. Tanker and/or HazMat endorsements are a plus.

- Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test, and be willing to submit to, and pass, random drug/alcohol testing.

- Pay commensurate with experience.
