JOB SCOPE

Perform key role in responding to questions regarding orders or shipments, ensuring orders are accurately shipped on time, and lead the team where it is needed. This is a fast-paced and detail oriented shipping environment. Initial training required includes time in Assembly Department to learn products, pump configurations, differentiation between brass, stainless, cast iron, type of pump type of components, metric vs. standard, expectations for quality, and expectations for cosmetic appearance. Sense of urgency more complicated than packaging role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•

Ensure orders are packaged appropriately, verifying accuracy of order.

•

Process orders shipping via USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.

•

Contact carriers and schedule freight pick.

•

Prepare and file Shipper’s Export Declaration for international orders.

•

Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs.

•

Palletize orders, wrap pallets and process truck shipments.

•

Resolve shipping problems in a timely manner.

•

Alternate to other areas as needed in shipping and receiving.

•

Update supplies as needed.

•

Transport packages using forklift.

•

Generate shipping reports.

•

Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Experience

•

1 3 years shipping experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

•

Demonstrated experience working with computers.

•

Working knowledge of Syteline software.

•

Skillful with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
