Spray Tech, a leading spray booth manufacturing company based in Rialto, California, is seeking an experienced Shipping Coordinator with the ability to self-manage; have strong knowledge of the shipping process and protocols; coordinate and support the shipping department with all administrative duties; have strong computer skills using Word and Excel; excellent organizational and verbal and written communication skills; and ability to prioritize and coordinate.
Receives all inbound items and checks against packing slips.
Coordinates and schedule truck outbound load shipments (Trucking Companies, UPS, Fed Ex, USPS, Will Call).
Communicates with trucking company/brokers to assist on meeting shipping dates/goals
Measures truck load to property fit and secure product on truck
Labels all stock shelves with correct part numbers
Keeps logs, folders, pictures of all orders/loads leaving the shipping area
Communicates with management, production team members, Sales department, & Accounting as needed.
Pulls and prepares products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and type of product is packaged.
Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner following defined work methods and procedures (e.g., forklifts and pallet jacks)
Maintains equipment in a neat, clean and orderly fashion
Assist in performing physical inventories, proper stock rotation, and cycle counts
Must be able to lift 25 lbs. repetitively and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Must be detail oriented and able to work under minimal supervision and guidance.
Must submit to a pre-employment physical and background check.
Flexible to work overtime and weekends when scheduled.
Must understand measuring and weighing devices to assure truck is capable to carry product.
Must be proficient in the use of PC and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Skills in Shipping software/systems, Inventory Management systems, Hand-held scanners.
Must be able to drive/operate a forklift and man-lift.
Manufacturing of metal enclosures industry experience, a big plus
3 to 5 years of experience in a progressive environment with experience in aspects of warehouse, stockroom and material handling from data entry to inventory management and staging ability. Must read and write in English fluently, interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, procedures, work orders, and drawings.
