Shipping Clerk & Production Worker

We are seeking a production worker who will assist in shipping & receiving

Responsibilities:

Administrative

- Schedule shipments & pickups & prepare documents for international shipping

- Communicate & coordinate with office to prioritize shipping & receiving and production duties

- Assist customers with shipping inquiries & communicate with vendors about any returns

- Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Preparing Shipments (Outgoing & Incoming)

- Weigh, count, package & ship products to customers, often preparing & prioritizing multiple shipments at once

- Unload, unpack, weigh, count & verify accuracy of all incoming merchandise & material

- Operate forklift, pallet jack & dolly to unload, load & move material around the shop

- May be asked to make local deliveries to customers & pick up material as need arises

- Perform other duties as assigned

Production

- Gather & empty scrap material from production staff multiple times a day

- Organize & move material & product around the shop

- Move, organize & record inventory sometimes on a weekly basis

- Assist production stuff & shop manager in performing assembling duties

- Assist in other areas of production as needed including: Powder coating, operating a pemserter, deburring or polishing metal parts, or operating one of our machines as assigned

- Other duties as assigned

- A good communicator, willingness to work in different areas of the shop as needed

- Works well under pressure & in fast paced environment

- Calm & patient and will take instructions & directions from others

Important Qualifications

- Operate forklift, dolly, pallet jack or wants to learn

- Able to lift & move heavy items

- Organized, highly accurate & has great attention to detail

- Dependable & wants to work hard for our great company

- Has an active driver's license

- Comfortable with a computer

- Can communicate via phone & email with vendors & customers

We are seeking an important future member of our team to fill a position we have in Shipping and Receiving! You will help coordinate incoming and outgoing shipment activities in a growing company and assist in production to produce custom made parts for our vast customer base.

Shift is:

Monday – Thursday from 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Friday – 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (as needed)
