Shipping Clerk

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse, ensuring that all shipping and receiving operations run smoothly. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, e-commerce processes, and effective order fulfillment practices.

Responsibilities

- Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage, and verify contents against purchase orders.

- Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and labeling them accurately.

- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock locations.

- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to move products within the warehouse safely.

- Perform order picking and packing duties to fulfill customer orders efficiently.

- Maintain accurate records of shipments using RF scanners and MRP systems.

- Assist in stocking shelves and organizing inventory for easy access.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely loading and unloading of goods.

- Follow safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with a solid understanding of shipping & receiving processes.

- Familiarity with warehouse distribution practices and e-commerce operations is a plus.

- Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 software.

- Strong basic math skills for inventory management and order fulfillment tasks.

- Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.

- Experience with RF scanners for tracking inventory is advantageous.

- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
