Leads day-to-day operational activities pertaining to truck checking in and trucks checking out. Coordinates with truck drivers, requesting the proper pick-up/drop off information. Effectively coordinates with sales and yard supervisors regarding trucks in yard. All while maintaining a safe a clean work environment.
- In addition to the Responsibilities of “Customer service/Shipping & receiving window”:
- Effectively communicates with department supervisors and upper management. Utilizes email to communicate with Sales and operations departments
- Manages the truck check in screen.
- Manages and monitors changes to orders currently checked in. Notifies the loading supervisor of any changes/request made by sales.
- Coordinates with Sales with requests (priority levels, removing orders from check in & expediting a truck)
- Processes and handles packing lists and delivery tickets.
- Makes sure all outbound drivers sign out properly and take pictures of the truck.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Duties are not limited to those described above and may be expanded as needed
- Speak and read English. Bilingual Spanish preferred
- Ability to read and understand industry specifications, charts, and tables
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills. Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
- Must have average reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
