We are currently seeking a Service Manager – FRAC
to lead our Red Deer and Grande Prairie frac service operations. This role requires a
highly technical expert in frac equipment, a strong hands-on leader, and someone who thrives in fast-paced shop environments where quality, safety, and people development are front and center.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and technical leadership
—supporting technicians on complex frac equipment diagnostics, repair planning, and OEM-standard execution.
- Oversee daily shop operations across two locations,
ensuring work quality, resource allocation, workflow efficiency, and safe repair practices.
- Lead and develop high-performing shop teams
through coaching, accountability, consistent communication, and hands-on mentorship.
In this role, you will also be responsible for:
- Directing job prioritization, scheduling, and workflow coordination with the Shop Coordinator.
- Acting as the primary technical contact for customers—managing scope, timelines, updates, and accurate quotes/estimates.
- Monitoring quality control, documentation accuracy, and compliance with OEM and safety standards.
- Supporting and promoting a strong safety culture, including investigations, corrective actions, and hazard assessments.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, documentation, tooling, and shop processes.
- 5–7 years of experience in
frac equipment maintenance
, heavy equipment repair, or industrial service operations.
- 2–3 years of
leadership or senior technical experience
in oilfield or equipment service environments.
- Advanced troubleshooting capability across
mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems
.
- Strong experience with quoting, repair planning, workflow management, and customer communication.
- Proficiency with maintenance systems, ERP platforms, and digital documentation practices.
- Strong communication, organization, and accountability skills with a focus on team development and customer service.
- Experience leading multi-site teams or operations.
- Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement exposure.
- Familiarity with frac fleet operations, data systems, or OEM diagnostic tooling.
