Role Overview/Purpose
The SAP Site Business & Integration Sr. Coordinator serves as the primary SAP leader for the mine site, overseeing the effective operation, integration, and continuous improvement of SAP‑enabled business processes. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role ensures that site operational needs are accurately defined, prioritized, and communicated to corporate SAP teams, and that corporate standards, solutions, and upgrades are successfully adopted at the site.
The Sr. Coordinator provides hands‑on support to site users through training, data quality oversight, troubleshooting, and change management, ensuring reliable and efficient use of SAP across all operational functions. Acting as the key liaison between site operations and corporate SAP/IT, the role drives consistent process execution, supports operational performance, and ensures SAP remains a dependable tool for daily site activities and long‑term business objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership for SAP‑enabled business processes at the mine site, ensuring they are consistently applied, well‑understood, and support operational performance.
- Serve as the primary liaison between site operations and Corporate Enterprise Systems, ensuring site needs are clearly articulated and corporate SAP standards are effectively adopted.
- Coordinate site participation in corporate‑led SAP initiatives, upgrades, and enhancements, ensuring readiness, communication, and smooth operational transition.
- Lead the identification, documentation, and prioritization of site business requirements, ensuring they are validated and communicated to corporate SAP teams.
- Champion continuous improvement by analyzing site workflows and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency through better use of SAP functionality and standardized processes.
- Oversee SAP‑related operational support at the site, ensuring timely issue resolution through coordination with corporate support teams.
- Provide leadership for SAP user enablement, including training, onboarding, change adoption, and promoting consistent data quality practices.
- Ensure SAP‑enabled processes comply with internal controls, Delegation of Authority, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Maintain site‑level documentation related to business processes, data governance, and operational procedures involving SAP.
- Monitor site SAP usage, data quality, and process adherence, escalating system performance issues or improvement needs to Corporate Enterprise Systems.
- Support the development of operational reports, dashboards, and KPIs by ensuring accurate data inputs and alignment with corporate reporting standards.
- Coordinate with other sites and corporate teams to share best practices and support the rollout of standardized SAP business processes.
- Provide leadership and direction to site SAP process support resources (if applicable), ensuring effective user support and process stewardship.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in SAP system management, including project leadership.
- Strong knowledge of SAP modules relevant to mining operations (FI, CO, MM, PM, HR).
- Proven experience in process optimization and digital transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams effectively.
- Knowledge of mining industry operations is an asset.
