SUMMARY:
The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for advanced repair and maintenance of equipment and machinery within our Structures Department, Purlin Division, and retail stores. This role requires expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and automated systems and controls to ensure optimal equipment functionality and reliability.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Troubleshoots and ensures the operation and reliability of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing advanced preventive maintenance and repairs on engines, motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, crane systems, and automated production machines.
•Follows complex diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and engineering specifications.
•Performs system upgrades and supports the implementation of new machinery, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
•Maintains tools and equipment in optimal working conditions, including calibration and regular inspection.
•Documents maintenance activities and updates records to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
•Travels occasionally for on-site support, including overnight stays as required.
•Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Extensive experience in manufacturing/fabrication shop environments, with a focus on hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and automated systems and machines.
•Strong expertise in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation control systems.
•Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and advanced maintenance equipment.
•Advanced computer skills, including familiarity with maintenance management software.
•Excellent attention to detail and the ability to execute tasks with precision.
•Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of mentoring and guiding team members.
•Ability to interpret complex technical documents, including safety guidelines, engineering specifications, and equipment manuals.
•Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
•Valid drivers license and ability to travel to retail locations as needed.
•Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
