THE POSITION

Keyera is currently seeking a

Senior Business Development Representative

to join the KAPS Pipeline Business Development Team, reporting to the Manager, Commercial Operations.

The Senior Business Development Representative will be a highly organized professional with a deep understanding of commercial contracts, project development, and strategic negotiation. This role will work closely with members of the Business Development, Engineering, and Operations teams to oversee the successful integration, execution, and start-up of the KAPS Zone 4 Pipeline Program. Responsibilities include leadership and coordination across various partnerships, as well as oversight of the Zone 4 Business Readiness Program.

Responsibilities

•

Provide strategic guidance and overall coordination with Keyera’s partners regarding the development, construction, and completion of each party’s projects.

•

Negotiate and develop definitive operating and interconnect agreements.

•

Manage the Operating Committee with the KAPS JV partner (Stonepeak).

•

Develop and execute a strategic approach for the successful start-up of KAPS Zone 4, ensuring a smooth transition from construction to commissioning to operations.

•

Interface with engineering teams to advance the Zone 4 Program and mitigate project risks.

•

Provide guidance on capital deployment to support future system growth across the KAPS pipeline and related upstream/downstream facilities.

•

Prepare executive-level communications on project and commercial risks and associated mitigation strategies.

•

Perform other relevant duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented, with the following qualifications:

•

A degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or Commerce, with 10–15 years of energy-related experience.

•

Experience in one or more of the following areas is considered an asset: Business Development, Contract Negotiation, Joint Venture Management, Project Engineering, Pipeline Operations.

•

Action-oriented individual with a demonstrated ability to proactively negotiate agreements, find common ground, and communicate and mitigate risks in a manner that supports project and commercial success.

•

Working knowledge of the hydrocarbon value chain and associated commercial drivers.

•

Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize issues and meet commercial deadlines.

•

Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills.

•

Strong analytical skills combined with strategic thinking and creativity.

•

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
