About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, manage daily accounting activities, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and play a key role in audits and compliance. You will also mentor junior staff and support ongoing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

•

Oversee daily accounting operations and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.

•

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.

•

Support budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.

•

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and internal controls.

•

Coordinate internal and external audits.

•

Support tax filing activities and ensure timely compliance.

•

Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management.

•

Mentor and support junior accounting staff.

•

Lead or assist with process improvements and system upgrades.

Qualifications

•

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

•

CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

•

5+ years of corporate accounting experience.

•

Strong knowledge of GAAP.

•

Proficient in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

•

Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics BC preferred.

•

Experience in mining, drilling industries or supply chain a plus.

•

Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.

•

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

•

Solid understanding of accounting principles and tax compliance.

•

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

•

High attention to detail and accuracy.
