Lambert is a Landscape design and installation company based in Windsor Locks, CT. We help our customers get beautiful outdoor spaces to enjoy with family, friends, and colleagues. Our 35 employees are focused every day on helping customers and creating a positive place to work.
We treat our employees and customers well, which is growing our business quickly! We need to hire an individual to help support our accounting and office processes. You will be working with English and Spanish speaking employees, so you'll need to be able to speak both.
This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Lambert’s office, including:
1. Accounting (50% of time): Perform day-to-day accounting work. This includes payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, collections, reviewing spending requests, and reconciliations. Also support developing annual financial plan.
2. Human Resources Administration (15% of time): Facilitate human resources tasks to recruit and retain employees. This includes recruiting & interviewing, updating policies, maintaining employee records, facilitating payroll, and approving employee requests.
3. Office Administration (10% of time): Assist with completing compliance tasks for our Production teams, and be the backup for answering phones. The compliance tasks include managing vehicle registrations, Dept. of Transportation documentation, and insurance documentation.
We'd like to hire an individual with 3+ year's experience working in bookkeeping or accounting. They should enjoy working with a variety of people, so should have strong communication (written and verbal), a collaborative style, and be able to speak English and Spanish. This person should like organizing work and prioritizing tasks every day. Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) is needed. The candidate should have an associate or bachelor’s degree in bookkeeping or accounting.
