Overview
•The qualified Senior Accountant will join a cohesive team of GL, AR, AP, and financial reporting specialists serving the North America Region of Excellence Logging. Our customers benefit from services in two lines-of-business, mudlogging and well intervention located in the US and Canada.
•Our office is conveniently located in northwest Houston, close to major highways but not a heavy traffic area.

Responsibilities
•Perform accounting functions in the areas of general ledger entries and reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, accounts receivable, and intercompany accounting.
•Prepare management, regional and corporate financial statements using NetSuite, Excel templates, and Hyperion Financial Management consolidation tools.
•Create PBC documents for external audit review and respond to inquiries.
•Assist with preparation of reports and schedules for tax preparation and transfer pricing reports.
•Recommend, design, and implement process improvements.
•Contribute to documentation of policies and procedures.
Qualifications
•A bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent major required.
Work Experience
•Minimum 5 years of proven accounting experience with general ledger functions, period close process, and financial reporting preparation and analysis.
•In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
•The successful candidate is self-driven, detail oriented, and organized.
•Implements excellent communication and analytical skills.
•Works well independently and with a team.
•Maintains open lines of communication.
•Manages time efficiently and according to priority.
•Adapts to working on special projects and meeting the needs of the team.
•Computer skills – Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
•Intermediate Excel skills including Lookups, Pivot Tables, and nested formulas.
•NetSuite and Hyperion Financial Management experience a plus.
